I have just got out of the worst job of my life! (contract ended).
I am so relieved.

Now I have to face the dreaded job search. Since we are in a recession, I would like to know some tips so I can find a job quicker.

I have a mix of teaching experience, customer support, and IT experience.

I am under a year left in my military career. My question is if during this time, can I start applying to jobs and give resumes to prospective employers?
I just dont want to get in trouble if I am not able to do this? I just want to get a head start on my job searching.

I am interested in finding a job that will force me to move to Ireland, Scotland or Wales, and am interested in the best job search engines etc. for that area. I currently live in Texas and want to travel. I am a history major, but haven’t finished my degeree, and most of my job experiance is as a receptionist in one industry or another…

I’ve been sending FAX resumes. Applied at the county , applied at some hospitals, applied at most Temp agencies in my city, and there’s no jobs. what else can i do? Maybe i need more patience but i’m beginning to feel worthless.

Spring 2008 college undergraduates, have you found a job yet? Where are you located, was it difficult, how did you find it? I have just started to send in résumés during the last week so I have not had a success story yet, but I am interested in how other grads around the country are doing.

If I have 2 possession of cannabis charges that are currently getting expunged from my record (the marijuana was not even mine in both cases, i honestly do not even use drugs, just happened to be unlucky on two separate occasions), but more recently got pulled over for a DUI, which I am 100% sure the charges will be droped after my court date. However, if I decide to get a job in a different state, would all this affect me still?
